Me and my work

Making nanomaterials for solar cells, batteries, rockets and explosives.

My Typical Day

Row or coach in the morning, drink tea, talk science, teach, meetings, attend seminars and if I am lucky do something in the lab with my research students.

What I'd do with the money

Build some experiment kits for our departments schools outreach to make blackberry solar cells or aluminium can batteries.

Tindersticks, well that is what I am listening to right now.

What is the most fun thing you've done?

Climbing 100 ft trees in the Australian rainforest collecting mites.

A little.

Making a device that actually works.
