No two days are the same, which is a good thing. On a good day I might be helping students work on turning water into fuel or drill holes in silver. Or I might be teaching chemists, pharmaceutical scientists or formulation scientists (people who make things like medicines, cosmetics, detergents or paints – no-one really knows what a formulation scientist actually is!). Sometimes I get sent to India or other foreign lands to talk to students other scientists. On a bad day I will be stuck in endless meetings, deprived of coffee.
-
My Typical Day:
Get up in the morning, go to work, get home, go to bed, in between anything goes as long as it involves coffee.
-
What I'd do with the prize money:
I’d make schools demonstration kits of how to make solar cells out of household materials or colour changing glasses.
