• Question: are you conpetitive and will delite dater from other scientists?

      No, it’s in everyone’s interest to work together. You can get better quality work with other people’s help, so you can publish more work (which is the aim for scientists).

      Not at all. That’s never a constructive attitude to have, and most of the time you find that no-one else is working on anything that similar to you so it would be pointless. It would be a petty and spiteful thing to do!

      Besides….. you never know when you’ll need someone else’s help, and if you’ve deleted their data they might not be so keen to help you out.

      No, it is important that we all work together and share our ideas. Often, the best ideas come from discussing your data with a fellow scientist. I would never even consider deleting someone else’s data! They would have worked hard to get the results and its a pretty nasty thing to do. We all need to support each other and work together as a team.
