• Question: How did humans turn out kind of like apes

      Well they think that apes and humans had a common ancestor (a great great great…x100 000s grandfather), who we’ll call Fred. Some of Fred’s decendents, years later, went on to become chimpanzees, or orang utans and others became humans. Fred was probably hairy, walked on four legs, lived near trees, liked to eat friut and was very good with his hands. So each of Fred’s children, and children’s children and so on kind of look a bit like Fred because he was their ancestor. Over time, Fred’s different children changed a little bit from Fred to suit where they were living and what they were doing. Human’s grew huge brains and started walking on two legs. But all of the ape’s starting point was the same, and that was Fred.
