  I reckon you would get covered in froth – it would depend how much you had shaken it up and how long you left it before opening. You could always do an experiment to check – perhaps outside with a waterproof on!

  Many scientific experiments involve risk, and importantly, how you make the risk as small as possible. So…you will only get covered in froth if you open it near yourself. Either wear full protective equipment (lab coats, gloves, glasses) or, if it is just pop, get a friend to open it and let them cover themselves instead of you.
