• Question: why did you go on im a scientist get me out of here

      I wanted the opportunity to interact with school students like yourself in a non-formal environment. I think that it is important that we are all encouraged to ask questions to improve our knowledge. I’m a scientist provides the space where you can do this without feeling silly or judged which is great! I am looking forward to the live chats later on in the week too. Obviously I’d love to win the prize money too so that I can take experiments into schools and show off some interesting chemistry.

      I have had the perspective both as a teacher and a scientist and I really think that this event is incredibly important for science education! It gives you a chance to ask your own questions, which have been numerous and great, and get an idea what science is really like. It’s great to be a part of it!
