• Question: why is curly hair curly?

      It’s due to the shape of what’s called the ‘follicle’ – these are the tiny little ‘factories’ (I can’t think of a better word!) that the hairs grow from. The shape of the follicle will influence how the hair behaves, for example whether it’s curly or straight, and how long it grows.
